Pleasant staff.Good food. Lovely rural location. Comfortable room. Deserves a 4 star rating. To be recommended.

Reception desk pokey. Some low ceilings and constricted staircases. Sound insulation to our room not perfect.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent location! A great place to stay if you wish to avoid traffic noise and listen to the calls of the wild!

Unfortunately the recommended spa treatments company - Phoenix Rose - failed to meet their booking time and date (my wifes birthday) and were very difficult to book in the first place - very disappointing..... Thankfully Charingworth recognised the difficulties with booking Phoenix Rose and upgraded us to a suite even before we arrived - top marks to them!

    The location supurb, building supurb,

no a'lacart menue, food choice disappointing, quantity lacking, but the quality of what we ate was good

The light from the corridor came into the room from underneath the door - a better sealed door would be good.

the atfternoon tea - scones were amazing . the location . room was very satisfactory .

we couldnt get hot water from the rain shower , only from the mixer shower . free use of computer near spa area was good , but speed of operation was glacial ! otherwise everything was really perfect . the lounges were very comfortable and the food well prepared

Lovely quiet position in beautiful countryside

Cold tap in bathroon didn't work properly - took over half an hour to fill a bath.

The setting was what one would imagine of the lovely English countryside. Quiet, green, secluded; a beautiful manor house out of an old English novel, with rooms updated and decorated with restraint and luxury. The beds were so comfortable, and it was a great surprise to find that the cream tea and dinner were up to gourmet standards. Staff were kind, gardens were lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, albeit too short. Also a great jumping off point to see Stratford-Upon-Avon and Chipping Campdon (yes, a real place and not invented by P. G. Wodehouse).

Check out at 11 A.M. was a push.

The friendly staff, very good food and the comfort of being able to eat in house, plus the lovely setting. We also enjoyed having a choice of rooms to either enjoy a pre-dinner drink, have after dinner coffee or just relax in.

I felt it would have worked better if the dining room opened out on to the front with a terrace. One could then enjoy the view of the gardens and surrounding countryside. I didn't like our room as I kept bumping my head on the beams.

Great location, quiet, friendly staff, not overcrowded. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Our waiter wouldn't give us a break between courses. No one else wanted our table but he was over zealous in offering us the next course.

The breakfast is excellent and the pool is very pleasing. Rooms are large and well equipped although they have no air conditioning or a fridge so they may be uncomfortable in very hot weather.

The rooms in this very old building have no soundproofing therefore if you have guests above you that do not keep normal sleep patterns you are kept awake as we were. The restaurant dinner is grossly overpriced and the menu is repeated every 3 days Quantity is limited Definitely poor value for money. We ate out for 2 nights and had fantastic meals at 2 other restaurants in Chipping Camden for less than half the price of the hotel's meals.

Very plesant room which was also quite spacious

On arrival we stood at reception for three to four minutes before anyone returned to reception to help us. Did not seem concerned that we were left standing there waiting for them. Commented on a noise in the room (sounded a like a central heating system coming on) during the early hours. Again, on departure, did not seem very concerned that this kept us awake.

Exploring the cotswolds with very little traffic unlike Surrey. Good places to eat.

The staff made us feel very welcome, the food was excellent and well presented. A beautiful hotel with stunning views, it would be difficult to fault this hotel,we will definately return.

The headroom in our bedroom was uncomfortable as I am unusually tall.
